A new song/improv ('The Price of Everything' ?) is dedicated to Riz Rollins, a Seattle record store clerk and occasional funk DJ. Ed explains 'Whipping' as a song "... about getting hit in the face, turning your cheek and getting hit again. Come to think of it, all the songs are about that." 'The Kids Are Alright' is solo by Ed, accompanying himself on guitar. Neil Young joins PJ in a surprise 'Act of Love' encore.

15 years ago..hard to believe ..i'll tell the improve story anyways..
i was in the process of setting up to do a remix of a song by 'critters buggin' who were then signed to loosegroove records owned by stone gossard. a good friend of mine - the forever pat riley arranged for me to be put on a guest list for that night's show. but i'd received a phone call in the morning informing me that my boyfriend was killed in a freak camping accident in brazil. he was to return two days after this show which was also my birthday. although i was terribly grief stricken and unable to attend the show that night , friends told me that the band played this song and dedicated it to our memory.
